Hello and welcome! I'm Jessica Mosier, a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) and the founder of Alma en Flor | Soul in Bloom.
As a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist and proud Latina, I understand the importance of culturally responsive care and the value of feeling truly understood. I was raised in Storm Lake, Iowa, and have dedicated my career to serving individuals and families with compassion, authenticity, and respect.
My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to each person's unique needs. I integrate evidence-based practices including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Play Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) to help clients heal, strengthen relationships, and achieve their goals.
I believe therapy is more than addressing symptoms, it's about discovering your strengths, finding your voice, and creating a life that aligns with your values. It is an honor to walk alongside my clients as they heal, grow, and bloom into the fullest version of themselves.

Comprehensive initial evaluations are to gather clinical, psychosocial, and diagnostic information, as well as to establish treatment plan goals and determine appropriate care.
A one-on-one session to address personal concerns and development. Sessions are tailored to each client using evidence-based, culturally responsive approaches that promote growth, resilience, and self-advocacy.
Individuals not showing for services or canceling with less than 24 hours notice will be subject to pay half of the scheduled service cost.
Most clients using insurance are responsible only for their copay, coinsurance, or deductible. The remaining balance is typically paid by your insurance plan according to your benefits.

The length of time it takes to see results from counseling sessions with AFSB varies depending on the individual and the issues being addressed. Some clients may see improvements after just a few sessions, while others may require longer-term therapy.
No. We believe accessing quality mental health care should be transparent and approachable. If you are using an accepted insurance plan, Alma en Flor | Soul in Bloom will submit claims directly to your insurance provider. Most insured clients are responsible only for their plan's copay, coinsurance, or deductible requirements. We do not charge clients the remaining balance between our private-pay rate and the contracted insurance reimbursement rate.
Example: If your insurance plan requires a $25 copay for therapy sessions, you would pay your $25 copay at the time of service, and your insurance would cover the remaining approved amount. You would not be responsible for the difference between our standard fee and the insurance payment.

The therapists at AFSB are licensed professionals with advanced degrees in counseling or a related field. They have extensive training and experience working with individuals, couples, and families.
AFSB provides counseling services for individuals of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults.
